Responsibility For Water Supply and Sanitation
The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government is in charge of policies for the water and sanitation sector within the Executive. Drinking water quality regulation is a responsibility of the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and service provision is a local government responsibility with financial assistance from the central government.
