Little can be said about the economy of the Wartberg group. The location of sites and certain finds suggest a broadly sedentary society susbsisting from agriculture and animal husbandry, but hunting may play a considerable economic role. The Wartberg area appears to be in general trade contact with its neighbouring regions.
