Warrior Run School District - Extracurriculars

Extracurriculars

The district offers a variety of extracurriculars including: clubs, activities and an extensive and costly sports. Eligibility to participate is determined by school board policy. In December 2011, the district's athletic trainer was charged with sexually assaulting a student. The sports programs are through the Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association. The Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference is a voluntary association of 25 PIAA High Schools within the central Pennsylvania region.

By Pennsylvania law, all K-12 aged students in the district, including those who attend a private nonpublic school, cyber charter school, charter school and those homeschooled, are eligible to participate in the extracurricular programs including all athletics. They must meet the same eligibility rules as the students enrolled in the district's schools.
