Boundaries
Following the review of parliamentary representation in West Yorkshire, the Boundary Commission for England revised the boundary of the Wakefield constituency, removing all the areas from Kirklees and adding wards from the abolished Normanton constituency.
At the 2010 General Election the Wakefield parliamentary constituency covered three-quarters of the West Yorkshire city of Wakefield and a number of villages to the west and south-west of the city. The constituency is made up of six electoral wards of the City of Wakefield: Horbury and South Ossett; Ossett; Wakefield East; Wakefield North; Wakefield Rural; and Wakefield West. Wakefield has returned Labour MPs since 1932 and for many years has been considered a safe Labour seat, but as of the 2010 general election is somewhat more marginal.

Famous quotes containing the word boundaries:
“Ideas are not thoughts; the thought respects the boundaries that the idea ignores thereby failing to realize itself.”
—Franz Grillparzer (17911872)
“Not too many years ago, a childs experience was limited by how far he or she could ride a bicycle or by the physical boundaries that parents set. Today ... the real boundaries of a childs life are set more by the number of available cable channels and videotapes, by the simulated reality of videogames, by the number of megabytes of memory in the home computer. Now kids can go anywhere, as long as they stay inside the electronic bubble.”
—Richard Louv (20th century)
“Whereas the Greeks gave to will the boundaries of reason, we have come to put the wills impulse in the very center of reason, which has, as a result, become deadly.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
