Viola Garvin

Viola Gerard Garvin (1898-1969) was an English poet and editor at the London Observer. Some of her works include Dedication and The House of Cæsar.

Robert E Howard paraphrased a part from Viola Garvin's The House of Cæsar for his suicide note.

A classmate of Garvin's at Somerville College, Oxford, was Constance Savery (1897-1999), whose work diary contains the entry "Feb. 2nd-4th 1969, Viola Garvin died on Jan. {blank] 1969." Savery's diary is in the manuscript collection at the Knight Library, University of Oregon.
