Soundtrack
The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa marked the beginning of a collabration between Rahman and Gautham Menon.
The world premiere was held at BAFTA in London on 19 December 2009 and later it was relaunched in Chennai on 12 January 2010. The album consists of seven tracks released with positive responses and was appreciated. The audio received overwhelming pre-release response and was marked as No. 1 in Asia, in advance bookings. The album was ranked among the best musicals of 2011.
