The Amazing Race Asia: Season 3
Vince Matthew Chung along with his fellow team member Sam Wu became the 1st ever winners of the The Amazing Race Asia from Hong Kong in November 2008. Despite starting the final week with a 4 hour penalty they were able to fight back from last place to claim a monumental victory in Phuket, Thailand ahead of Geoff & Tisha and Ida & Tania. The fact that Vince & Sam were originally a standby team and had been confirmed as contestants for The Race at the very last minute (they were given only 4 hours to take unpaid leave from their jobs, bid farewell to their families and get to the airport without letting anyone know where they were going) made this a first in the history of the popular television / reality show.
