School Day
The school day starts at 8:30 and ends at 14:55 for the Primary school and at 15:15 for the Secondary school. For Grade 11 and 12, some subjects last until 16:00. In the Secondary school, there are 7 periods per day, each 45 minutes long, with 3-minute intervals, a 20-minute break at 10:10 and a 50-minute lunch break from 12:50 - 13:40. The Primary School also has 7 periods a day, with a 1-hour lunch break at 11:40 and a 20-minute break at 10:00.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or day:
“The child to be concerned about is the one who is actively unhappy, [in school].... In the long run, a childs emotional development has a far greater impact on his life than his school performance or the curriculums richness, so it is wise to do everything possible to change a situation in which a child is suffering excessively.”
—Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
“Actually, the laboring man has not leisure for a true integrity day by day; he cannot afford to sustain the manliest relations to men; his labor would be depreciated in the market.
He has no time to be anything but a machine.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
