Victoria Ward Centers - Victoria Ward Limited

Victoria Ward Limited

Victoria Ward established Victoria Ward Limited, the company that controlled the entire Ward estate. After her death, the Ward children decided to develop the land at Kaka'ako especially for retail. This was a very lucrative venture considering the billions of dollars generated by the tourism industry in Hawai'i. In the early 2000s, Victoria Ward Limited began an aggressive development plan to expand Victoria Ward Centers and attract new tenants from the mainland United States that have yet to open for business in the Hawai'i market.

Famous quotes containing the words victoria, ward and/or limited:

Sometimes my wife complains that she’s overwhelmed with work and just can’t take one of the kids, for example, to a piano lesson. I’ll offer to do it for her, and then she’ll say, “No, I’ll do it.” We have to negotiate how much I trespass into that mother role—it’s not given up easily.
—Anonymous Father. As quoted in Women and Their Fathers, by Victoria Secunda, ch. 3 (1992)

Moral qualities rule the world, but at short distances the senses are despotic.
    —Mrs. H. O. Ward (1824–1899)

    Peter Blos (20th century)
