Victor Civita

Victor Civita (New York, February 9, 1907 - São Paulo, Brazil, August 24, 1990) was an American businessman, journalist and naturalized Brazilian. He is the founder of Editora Abril in 1950, which later became Grupo Abril.

His son, Roberto Civita, is the current Chairman of the Board and Editorial Director of the Abril Group.

Civita was noted for working together with the company's employees. Has also reportedly fixed placards in person to the streetcars of São Paulo saying: Donald Duck has arrived, when launching his first magazine published in Brazil.
