Vesparax

Vesparax is a combination tablet containing 50 mg brallobarbital, 150 mg secobarbital and 50 mg hydroxyzine. This drug has been withdrawn from the market in most countries.

Because of the long half-life of Vesparax, it has symptoms resembling a hangover on the next day, and Vesparax has been replaced by newer medicine.

Hydroxyzine and secobarbital lengthen the half-life of brallobarbital.

It is known to have played a role in the death of Jimi Hendrix, who was reportedly unfamiliar with the drug and overdosed on 18 times the recommended dosage.
