Veruthe Oru Bharya (English: A Wife for Nothing) is a 2008 Malayalam film written by K. Gireesh Kumar and directed by Akku Akbar. The film stars Jayaram, Gopika and Niveda Thomas in the lead roles.
The film was an "unexpected success" in the box office and gave a fillip to the careers of both director Akku Akbar and veteran actor Jayaram.
Nivedita Thomas received Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist (Female, 2008) for her performance in the film.
Bharya Athra Pora (2013), written by K. Gireesh Kumar and directed by Akku Akbar, is not a sequel to the film.
