Vellangallur kovilakam is an old branch of Kodungallur kovilakam (Trichur-Kerala), one of the royal families in central Kerala.
In Thirssur district,the Vellangallor Kovilakam is situated in the midst of Irinjalakkuda and Kodungallor .
