Vehicle registration plates of Estonia are composed of three numbers and three letters (e.g. 123 ABC). The registration plates are coloured black letters on a white background, and are the same size and length as other European plates. The first of the three letters indicates the region of Estonia in which the car was registered. All modern Estonian plates are issued with the blue European Union identification label, as seen in picture one.

Famous quotes containing the words vehicle and/or plates:
“The woman may serve as a vehicle for the rapist expressing his rage against a world that gives him pain—because he is poor, or oppressed, or mad, or simply human. Then what of her? We have waded in the swamp of compassion for him long enough.”
—Robin Morgan (b. 1941)
““... What are you seeing out the window, lady?”
“What I’ll be seeing more of in the years
To come as here I stand and go the round
Of many plates with towels many times.””
—Robert Frost (1874–1963)
