Vassenden is a village in the municipality of Jølster in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located along the river Jølstra at the western end of the lake Jølstravatn. The population of Vassenden was 314 in 2009, and the village is about 0.51 square kilometres (130 acres).
The village is located along the highway E39, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the lake Holsavatnet. The village of Langhaugane is 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) to the southwest and the village of Ålhus is 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) to the northeast. The municipal center of Skei is 25 kilometres (16 mi) to the northeast.
