A list of concert tours by hard rock band Van Halen.
Note that on all tours, the band's line-up has featured Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen. Michael Anthony has played bass on all tours except the most recent one which lasted from late 2007 to early 2008 where the role is being performed by Wolfgang Van Halen, son of Eddie. However the vocalist has changed numerous times, hence the inclusion of a vocalist column in the table. Note the vocalist column gives dates for the span they toured with the band for - not how long they were in the band for.
Information on early concerts is less reliable, as is to be expected.
Note all tours undertaken by Van Halen went through the USA, with the exception of the Monsters of Rock Tour 1984. Hawaiian dates have been counted as American, due to its official position as a state of the USA.
Note that the Heavyweight Champs Of Rock 'N Roll Tour of the USA in 2002 was not a Van Halen tour. It was a co-headlining tour by the two former Van Halen vocalists David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar. The tour was notable for its Van Halen connection however, featuring numerous guest appearances by Van Halen's then-bassist Michael Anthony with Hagar on many dates on bass and backing vocals (and occasionally lead vocals), and one date where former Van Halen vocalist Gary Cherone joined the pair for a duet. Nor are Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony's tours as The Other Half (a play on them being "half" of the Van Halen line-up) where the two former members of the band would play Hagar-era Van Halen tunes togethere with a backing band.

Famous quotes containing the words van and/or concert:
“Unlike Descartes, we own and use our beliefs of the moment, even in the midst of philosophizing, until by what is vaguely called scientific method we change them here and there for the better. Within our own total evolving doctrine, we can judge truth as earnestly and absolutely as can be, subject to correction, but that goes without saying.”
—Willard Van Orman Quine (b. 1908)
“... in the cities there are thousands of rolling stones like me. We are all alike; we have no ties, we know nobody, we own nothing. When one of us dies, they scarcely know where to bury him.... We have no house, no place, no people of our own. We live in the streets, in the parks, in the theatres. We sit in restaurants and concert halls and look about at the hundreds of our own kind and shudder.”
—Willa Cather (18731947)
