Valkyrie is an Asgardian in the Marvel Comics universe. Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, the character first appeared in Avengers #83 in December 1970. Within the context of the stories, Valkyrie has been allied with other Asgardians, the Valkyrior, Defenders, and Secret Avengers.
