USS Whipple (FF-1062)
The USS Whipple (DE-1062/FF-1062) was a Knox-class destroyer, later redesignated as a frigate in the United States Navy. This was the third ship of the United States Navy named in honor of Captain Abraham Whipple (1733–1819), who served in the Continental Navy.
