Famous quotes containing the words built in, built and/or west:

Cynicism is cheap—you can buy it at any Monoprix store—it’s built into all poor-quality goods.
    Graham Greene (1904–1991)

Man, her last work, who seemed so fair,
Such splendid purpose in his eyes,
Who rolled the psalm to wintry skies,
Who built him fanes of fruitless prayer,

Who trusted God was love indeed
    And love Creation’s final law—
Though Nature, red in tooth and claw
With ravine, shrieked against his creed—
    Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)

Right now I think censorship is necessary; the things they’re doing and saying in films right now just shouldn’t be allowed. There’s no dignity anymore and I think that’s very important.
    —Mae West (1892–1980)
