USS Remey (DD-688)

USS Remey (DD-688) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy, named for Rear Admiral George C. Remey (1841–1928).

Remey was laid down on 22 March 1943 by the Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine; launched on 25 July 1943; sponsored by Miss Angelica G. Remey, daughter of Rear Admiral Remey; and commissioned on 30 September 1943, Lieutenant Commander Reid P. Fiala in command.
