Two ships in the United States Navy have been named USS Parker for Foxhall A. Parker.

  • The first Parker (DD–48) was an Aylwin-class destroyer, commissioned in 1913, served in World War I and was decommissioned in 1922.
  • The second Parker (DD–604) was a Benson-class destroyer, commissioned in 1942, served in World War II and was decommissioned in 1947.

Famous quotes containing the word parker:

I can’t talk about Hollywood. It was a horror to me when I was there and it’s a horror to look back on. I can’t imagine how I did it. When I got away from it I couldn’t even refer to the place by name. “Out there,” I called it.
    —Dorothy Parker (1893–1967)
