Decommissioning
Hyades was decommissioned (date unknown) and struck from the Naval Register, 1 October 1976. After being laid up in the Reserve Fleet, she was transferred to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for disposal, 13 October 1983. Final Disposition: disposed of by MARAD exchange, 13 October 1983.
