Mr. Usman Irumbuzhi is honored with some Awards & Appreciation as given below:

1. Asianet award for short story in 2003 (Asianet – Atlas award)
2. N.V. Krishna variyar award (Indo Arab Cultural center, Dubai) for Ozhivukala Durandangal
3. Vaikom Mohamed Basheer Memorial Award for Ozhivukala Durandangal
4. Koodanayumbol won second prize for the Short story collection by Mithra vedi, Kerala.
5. Special Certificate and Memento from Kalikau Arts Lovers Association for presenting Literary experience at a Seminar held in Jeddah.
6. Trophy for best Coordinator, Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF)
7. Award of Sahrdaya kalavedi, Jubail for short story 2001
8. Won cash award in Quiz competition held by MSS, Jeddah.

Literary activities includes Writing Malayalam features in various dailies and periodicals, Writing short stories in various periodicals, published a few poems and features in English, translated many articles and features for different News papers

He also Released one Audio Cassette of short stories, Presented Short stories on All India Radio, as well as in literary gatherings. He presented papers on Culture, Literature etc. in some seminars.
