Famous quotes containing the words prize and/or money:
“In the corrupted currents of this world
Offences gilded hand may shove by justice,
And oft tis seen the wicked prize itself
Buys out the law; but tis not so above:
There is no shuffling.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“Seeing is believing, and if an American success is to count for anything in the world it must be clothed in the raiment of property. As often as not it isnt the money itself that means anything; it is the use of money as the currency of the soul.”
—Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)
