UPPALA (Malayalam: ഉപ്പള, Kannada: ಉಪ್ಪಳ ) is a small town located midway between Kasaragod and Mangalore, north of the town of Kasaragod, in Kasaragod district, Kerala, India. Mangalore is the nearest city to Uppala. Uppala is noted for jewellery shops, readymade shops, fruit, vegetable and fish markets. The locals speaking many languages such as Kannada as first language after that Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi, Konkani & Urdu.
