Virginia Law is among the most selective law schools in the nation with an overall acceptance rate of 9.3%. The class of 2013 possessed a median LSAT score of 170 and median GPA of 3.86.

The Class of 2014 come from 41 states, the District of Columbia, four foreign countries, and 172 undergraduate institutions. The average age was 24 (with a range from 18 to 46). 55% of the class was male, 45% female, and 25% identified themselves as minority students. 70% of the class had work experience after college and 14% had graduate degrees.
