University Halt - Service

Service

Mondays to Saturdays there is an hourly service towards Coleraine or Portrush with extra services at peak times. There are also some services which extend along the line via Ballymena and Antrim to Belfast Central and Belfast Great Victoria Street. Otherwise a change of train is necessary at Coleraine as is normally the case for trains going to Londonderry railway station.

On Sundays there is a two hourly service in each direction.

Trains are operated by Northern Ireland Railways. University is on the Portrush branch line from Coleraine as part of the Belfast-Derry railway line.

Famous quotes containing the word service:

The ruin of the human heart is self-interest, which the American merchant calls self-service. We have become a self- service populace, and all our specious comforts—the automatic elevator, the escalator, the cafeteria—are depriving us of volition and moral and physical energy.
    Edward Dahlberg (1900–1977)

In public buildings set aside for the care and maintenance of the goods of the middle ages, a staff of civil service art attendants praise all the dead, irrelevant scribblings and scrawlings that, at best, have only historical interest for idiots and layabouts.
    George Grosz (1893–1959)

For those parents from lower-class and minority communities ... [who] have had minimal experience in negotiating dominant, external institutions or have had negative and hostile contact with social service agencies, their initial approaches to the school are often overwhelming and difficult. Not only does the school feel like an alien environment with incomprehensible norms and structures, but the families often do not feel entitled to make demands or force disagreements.
    Sara Lawrence Lightfoot (20th century)
