Famous quotes containing the words world, student and/or games:

    The world rolls round,—mistrust it not,—
    Befalls again what once befell;
    All things return, both sphere and mote,
    And I shall hear my bluebird’s note,
    And dream the dream of Auburn dell.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    Many a poor sore-eyed student that I have heard of would grow faster, both intellectually and physically, if, instead of sitting up so very late, he honestly slumbered a fool’s allowance.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

    At the age of twelve I was finding the world too small: it appeared to me like a dull, trim back garden, in which only trivial games could be played.
    Elizabeth Bowen (1899–1973)
