Regional Competitions

Each championship has 16 teams divided into four groups. The winners of the groups qualify for the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-final matches qualify for the finals. Regional Champions in the Under-13 through Under-19 boys and girls age groups advance to the National Championships.

  • Region I Championships
    • 15 State Cup winners from each of the state associations
    • The top eligible team from the Region I Premier League.
  • Region II Championships
    • 13 State Cup winners from each of the state associations except for North Dakota, which does not have a state cup
    • The top two eligible teams from the Region II Midwest Regional League
    • One finalist from a State Cup. The state with two representatives is determined through a draw
  • Region III Championships
    • 12 State Cup winners from each of the state associations
    • The top eligible team from Region III Premier League East
    • The top eligible team from Region III Premier League Central
    • The top eligible team from Region III Premier League West
    • The next top eligible team from one of the three Region III leagues
  • Region IV Championships
    • 12 State Cup winners from each of the state associations except for Wyoming and Montana, which do not have state cups
    • The top two eligible teams from the Region IV Far West Regional League
    • Two finalists from State Cups. The states with wildcards are determined through a draw
