United States Code - Proposed Titles

Proposed Titles

The Office of Law Revision Counsel has produced draft text for an additional four titles of federal law. The subject matter of these titles exists today in one or several titles. If and when enacted, these titles would actually perform two functions: moving law from one location in the US Code to another, and to convert it into positive law.

Title 52 Voting and Elections
Title 53 Small Business
Title 54 National Park System
Title 55 Environment

* Includes Appendix of provisions not yet enacted into positive law.

Famous quotes containing the words proposed and/or titles:

I have always been, am, and propose to remain a mere scholar. All that I have ever proposed to myself is to say, this and this I have learned; thus and thus have I learned it; go thou and learn better; but do not thrust on my shoulders the responsibility for your own laziness if you elect to take, on my authority, conclusions the value of which you ought to have tested for yourself.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)

Lear. Dost thou call me fool, boy?
Fool. All thy other titles thou hast given away; that thou wast born with.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
