The United States claimed both of the gold medals in the men's archery competitions, with Justin Huish claiming the individual medal and the three-man team claiming the team medal. The American women were not as successful.

Women's Individual Competition:

  • Janet Dykman - round of 16, 16th place (2-1)
  • Lindsay Langston - round of 32, 22nd place (1-1)
  • Judi Adams - round of 64, 39th place (0-1)

Men's Individual Competition:

  • Justin Huish - final, gold medal (6-0)
  • Richard Johnson - round of 16, 11th place (2-1)
  • Rod White - round of 32, 24th place (1-1)

Women's Team Competition:

  • Dykman, Langston, and Adams - round of 16, 13th place (0-1)

Men's Team Competition:

  • Huish, Johnson, and White - final (4-0) → Gold Medal
