Worship
The idol is about 18 long and has a base pedestal 7 height. The chakra in the hand of the Lord is called as prayoga chakra as it is in a slightly tilted condition as if ready for use. Bhudevi and Sridevi are also found as standing figures.
The worship is propotioned solely to this idol on three occasions in a year - Uttana Ekadasi, Mukkoti Dvadasi and Dvadasaradhana. The idol is bought in procession at wee hours only on Kaisika Dvadasi (also known as Mukkoti Dvadasi) while the idol is worshipped inside the temple complex on the remaining two occasions.

Famous quotes containing the word worship:
“The timidity of the child or the savage is entirely reasonable; they are alarmed at this world, because this world is a very alarming place. They dislike being alone because it is verily and indeed an awful idea to be alone. Barbarians fear the unknown for the same reason that Agnostics worship itbecause it is a fact.”
—Gilbert Keith Chesterton (18741936)
“My religion is no garment to be put on and off with the weather. You had better know that, all of you. I shall worship as I please and hope for all men to worship as they please in Scotland.”
—Dudley Nichols (18951960)
“Almost like a god looking at her terribly out of the everlasting dark, she had felt the eyes of that horse; great glowing, fearsome eyes, arched with a question, and containing a white blade of light like a threat. What was his non-human question, and his uncanny threat? She didnt know. He was some splendid demon, and she must worship him.”
