UCF Knights Football - Rivalries

Rivalries

Even though UCF remains a relatively young FBS program, a number of key rivalries have developed in the last decade. The most notable is with South Florida, whom UCF played from 2005 to 2008. Called The War on I–4, the rivalry blossomed as the two Florida public universities are located only 98-miles apart along the state's I–4 corridor. Three other key conference rivalries are those with Marshall, Tulsa and East Carolina. The Knights are also attempting to start other in-state rivlaries, by playing Florida, Miami and Florida International since 2006.
