UAAP Season 59 is the 1996-1997 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, which is was hosted by De La Salle University-Manila. The season opened on July 13, 1996, at the Araneta Coliseum. The 3rd Annual UAAP Cheerdance Competition was also held after the opening ceremonies.
It was the 25 point game lead by the Ateneo Blue Eagles win over La Salle Green Archers in the second round of the rivalry game. 80-55 lead by the Blue Eagles. It was on September 14, 1996.
