Philosophy

The Zeitgeist Movement describes itself as a sustainability advocacy group based on the belief that the "monetary-market" economy can be replaced with a system in which the Earth's resources are allocated by the scientific method. Members of the group believe in the elimination of money and private property. Zeitgeist members say the current socioeconomic system is structurally corrupt and needs to be replaced with a system based on efficient and careful resource use through the technological potential of sustainable development. The Zeitgeist group advocates renewable energy and computerized automatic systems on a global scale to provide free food and other necessities and perform most of the resource allocation.
