Personal Life

Tuft is married to Priscilla Tuft; they have one daughter, Mia. He is good friends with fellow wrestler Curt Hawkins.

On January 14, 2010, Tuft was involved in an incident on an airplane in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Minutes before takeoff, he complained to the flight crew that he observed strange movement on the flaps of the wings, and caused panic among other passengers by claiming that the plane was unsafe. He demanded to be de-boarded, and stated that "if anyone else on the plane doesn't want to die then they should get off the plane too". The pilot decided not to take any chances with him disrupting the flight or distressing the passengers, so they returned to the terminal and escorted him off the plane. The flight was then delayed, which annoyed many WWE employees.

After his retirement from wrestling, Tuft announced in November 2012 that he would be undergoing a digital marketing initiative called "Local Promoter 2.0.", which is designed to give independent wrestling promoters, MMA promoters, and general fight promoters more information to work with to specifically target potential customers.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

I want relations which are not purely personal, based on purely personal qualities; but relations based upon some unanimous accord in truth or belief, and a harmony of purpose, rather than of personality. I am weary of personality.... Let us be easy and impersonal, not forever fingering over our own souls, and the souls of our acquaintances, but trying to create a new life, a new common life, a new complete tree of life from the roots that are within us.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

What is a novel if not a conviction of our fellow-men’s existence strong enough to take upon itself a form of imagined life clearer than reality and whose accumulated verisimilitude of selected episodes puts to shame the pride of documentary history?
    Joseph Conrad (1857–1924)
