Twisted Twins

Twisted Twins is a wooden roller coaster at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky. It is a double-tracked dueling roller coaster by Custom Coasters International whose two trains are nicknamed Lola and Stella.

The ride was originally supposed to be named "Double Trouble: Lola and Stella", by Ed Hart. When Premier had taken over Kentucky Kingdom they decided to rename the ride, Twisted Sisters from 1998 to 2001 but was changed when members of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister threatened to sue.

Twisted Twins along with Mile High Falls, was closed in 2007 and remained closed until the park closed in 2009 season.

In summer 2009 the trains were sent to Six Flags St. Louis, which feared many fans into thinking that the coaster will never reopen.

The coaster should reopen with Kentucky Kingdom and Mile High Falls (which Six Flags closed in 2008) on May 24, 2014.

Famous quotes containing the words twisted and/or twins:

    We are powerless,
dust and powder fill our lungs
    our bodies blunder
    through doors twisted on hinges.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

There is absolutely no evidence—developmental or otherwise—to support separating twins in school as a general policy. . . . The best policy seems to be no policy at all, which means that each year, you and your children need to decide what will work best for you.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)
