Tune Hotels - Limited Service

Limited Service

The limited service model used by Tune Hotels is similar to the no frills business model practiced by low-cost carriers such as AirAsia and has been adapted to the hospitality industry.

As with 'low-cost carriers', Tune Hotels limited service and pay-as-you-use of add-ons concept omits many traditional hospitality services. Instead, services and extras are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, including toiletries, 12 or 24 hours air-conditioning, TV and internet access and also single or double occupancy.

In common with other 'low-cost' marketed operations, Tune Hotels' advertising and bookings can be misleading - e.g., booking an advertised 149 MYR a room at KLIA which also shows this price whilst booking has the link 'show me the price breakdown' which open a new window detailing an extra service charge producing a total of 173.73 MYR.

Online room bookings are claimed to be at prices starting from USD3.00, however normally the prices will be around the local low-end rate. Personal service is not available, and nether are refunds in the event of a booking error.

Tune Hotels also leases hotel space to retail operators. Tenant brands that operate in Tune Hotels.com hotels include 7-Eleven, Subway Restaurants and Gloria Jean's Coffees.

Hotel space is also available for rent to advertisers (indoors, outdoors as well as whole floors) on room walls, room keys, hallways and in the lobby. Major advertisers include CIMB Bank, King Koil, Marigold, Nippon Paint and Nestle.

Famous quotes containing the words limited and/or service:

It is not impossible, of course, after such an administration as Roosevelt’s and after the change in method that I could not but adapt in view of my different way of looking at things, that questions should arise as to whether I should go back on the principles of the Roosevelt administration.... I have a government of limited power under a Constitution, and we have got to work out our problems on the basis of law. Now, if that is reactionary, then I am a reactionary.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

The true courage of civilized nations is readiness for sacrifice in the service of the state, so that the individual counts as only one amongst many. The important thing here is not personal mettle but aligning oneself with the universal.
    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)
