Tuesday Weld - Album Covers

Album Covers

The cover of Matthew Sweet's third album, Girlfriend, features a photograph of Tuesday Weld from the late 1950s. Originally called Nothing Lasts, the album was retitled following objections to the title from Weld. Sweet's greatest hits compilation, Time Capsule, also features photos of Weld on both the front and back cover. Weld was also immortalized on Walter Egan's fourth CBS album. Egan, best remembered for his top ten hit "Magnet and Steel," titled the the song, appropriately enough, "Tuesday Weld."
