Troy Donockley - Classical Ambitions

Classical Ambitions

Donockley has composed music for choir and orchestra. He has gone to great lengths to find the right kind of studio production. The Unseen Stream (1998) and The Pursuit of Illusion (2003) put the uilleann pipes in a sound mix that has never been heard before. His latest work is the lavishly produced and packaged "The Madness of Crowds" (2009).

Famous quotes containing the words classical and/or ambitions:

Against classical philosophy: thinking about eternity or the immensity of the universe does not lessen my unhappiness.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

What we take for virtue is often but an assemblage of various ambitions and activities that chance, or our own astuteness, have arranged in a certain manner; and it is not always out of courage or purity that men are brave, and women chaste.
François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (1613–1680)
