Tropical Storm Rick

The name Rick has been used for three tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and one tropical cyclone in the Western Pacific.

It is used on the six-year lists in the Eastern Pacific:

  • 1985's Hurricane Rick - Strong category 4 hurricane that was never a threat to land.
  • Hurricane Rick (1997) - Weak category 2 hurricane that made landfall in Mexico during the month of November.
  • Hurricane Rick (2009) - Powerful category 5 hurricane that was the second-most intense Pacific hurricane on record and the strongest to ever form during the month of October. It made landfall in Mazatlan as a weak tropical storm.

It was used on the old lists in the Western Pacific:

  • 1996's Tropical Storm Rick - Minimal storm that stayed away from land.
