Trina Solar Limited is a Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, which was founded in 1997 as a system installation company. Trina Solar's solar modules provide electric power for residential, commercial, industrial and other applications worldwide.
Trina Solar is currently one of the few photovoltaics manufacturers that has developed a vertically integrated supply chain from the production of monocrystalline ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of high quality modules. Trina Solar sells its products in Europe and other countries around the globe. Trina Solar successfully completed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in December, 2006. Trina Solar also sponsors the Lotus F1 Team.
