The Trikāya doctrine (Sanskrit, literally "Three bodies"; 三身 Chinese; Sānshēn Vietnamese: Tam thân, Japanese: sanjin, Tibetan: སྐུ་གསུམ, Wylie: sku gsum) is an Mahayana Buddhist teaching on both the nature of reality and the nature of a Buddha.
