Trick Me - Background

Background

"Trick Me" was written and produced by Dallas Austin. Recording sessions took place at DARP Studios in Atlanta, O'Henry Studios in Burbank and Chalice Studios in Hollywood, California. Background vocals were provided by Greg "Ruckus" Andrews and the recordings were mixed by Kevin Davis at Larabee North, California.

"In Public" featuring Nas was originally chosen to be released as the second single from Tasty, but MTV News reported in late January 2004 that "Trick Me" would be released instead. "In Public" was instead released as the fourth single in June 2005. The music video for "Trick Me", directed by Director X, was shot in the end of February 2004. The single was not released in the United States as Kelis' label, Arista, folded just when Tasty was released in December 2003, so no more singles after "Milkshake" were released there. In Europe, however, she was still on the same label, Virgin, so singles continued to be released in Europe.

Famous quotes containing the word background:

They were more than hostile. In the first place, I was a south Georgian and I was looked upon as a fiscal conservative, and the Atlanta newspapers quite erroneously, because they didn’t know anything about me or my background here in Plains, decided that I was also a racial conservative.
Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)

In the true sense one’s native land, with its background of tradition, early impressions, reminiscences and other things dear to one, is not enough to make sensitive human beings feel at home.
    Emma Goldman (1869–1940)

... every experience in life enriches one’s background and should teach valuable lessons.
    Mary Barnett Gilson (1877–?)
