Trevor Mc Eachron - Professional

Professional

On January 26, 2006, the Los Angeles Galaxy selected McEachron in the first round (twelfth overall) of the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. He saw not first team games. At some point in 2006, he moved to the Richmond Kickers, but whether or not this was a loan arrangement with the Galaxy is unclear. However, he did play one game with the D.C. United reserves on loan from the Kickers reserves in 2006. It appears he may have spent part of the 2008 season with the Los Angeles Galaxy because he did not sign with the Kickers until June 5, 2008. On August 22, 2008, he played on loan with the Chicago Fire in Chicago’s exhibition match with C.D. Veracruz

Famous quotes containing the word professional:

I hate the whole race.... There is no believing a word they say—your professional poets, I mean—there never existed a more worthless set than Byron and his friends for example.
Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke Wellington (1769–1852)

Virtue and vice suppose the freedom to choose between good and evil; but what can be the morals of a woman who is not even in possession of herself, who has nothing of her own, and who all her life has been trained to extricate herself from the arbitrary by ruse, from constraint by using her charms?... As long as she is subject to man’s yoke or to prejudice, as long as she receives no professional education, as long as she is deprived of her civil rights, there can be no moral law for her!
    Flora Tristan (1803–1844)

The relationship between mother and professional has not been a partnership in which both work together on behalf of the child, in which the expert helps the mother achieve her own goals for her child. Instead, professionals often behave as if they alone are advocates for the child; as if they are the guardians of the child’s needs; as if the mother left to her own devices will surely damage the child and only the professional can rescue him.
    Elaine Heffner (20th century)
