The administrative elections of May 3, 2009 were won by a Center-Left coalition. Results are the following (only parties with more than 4% are listed):
- Partito Democratico (Centre-left big tent party): 29.80%
- Unione per il Trentino (Centre-left Catholic party): 17.07%
- Popolo della Libertà (Center-Right): 11.92%
- Lega Nord (Northern Separatists): 7.78%
- Lista Civica Morandini (civic list supporting Morandini for mayor): 7.19%
- Trentino Tyrolean Autonomist Party (Autonomists): 4.72%
Current mayor is Alessandro Andreatta, of the Partito Democratico, elected with 64.42% of the votes.
