Treasure Cay

Treasure Cay, Bahamas is a small coastal community on the east coast of the island of Abaco in the Bahamas. Treasure Cay is approximately 165 miles due east of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

Their 5-star golf course has attracted PGA greats for decades. Their beaches are a well kept secret, and known locally to be superb. The big crescent beach has been voted by National Geographic to be one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches. The town of Treasure Cay consists of a bakery (Florence's-best cinnamon rolls ever), the tipsy seagull bar on the marina and cocoa bar on the big beach, a restaurant called the Spinnaker, library and general store, with accommodation for tourists on the South End Bahama Beach Club condo development. There are boats that can be chartered and great bone fishing.

The people of Treasure Cay are all very friendly, most speak English and French. Treasure Cay Airport serves the community.

The Great Abaco Family Fitness Weekend takes place in March in Treasure Cay, and consists of an open water swim, sprint and Olympic (individual and relay) triathlons, and a 5k/10k fun run/walk. This is the premiere sporting event in Abaco and is popular with both locals and tourists alike.
