Famous quotes containing the word roads:
“We joined long wagon trains moving south; we met hundreds of wagons going north; the roads east and west were crawling lines of families traveling under canvas, looking for work, for another foothold somewhere on the land.... —Rose Wilder Lane (18861968)
“Then the master said to the slave, Go out into the roads and lanes, and compel people to come in, so that my house may be filled.”
—Bible: New Testament, Luke 14:23.
“There are three roads to ruin; women, gambling and technicians. The most pleasant is with women, the quickest is with gambling, but the surest is with technicians.”
—Georges Pompidou (19111974)
