What we do
TSI exists to promote and protect the success of a modern economy. It aims to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of citizens. We achieve this by supporting our members to empower consumers, encourage honest business and target rogue traders. Consumers looking for advice should refer to the Citizens Advice Consumer helpline in the first instance. TSI a private company not a trading standards office.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“History has neither the venerableness of antiquity, nor the freshness of the modern. It does as if it would go to the beginning of things, which natural history might with reason assume to do; but consider the Universal History, and then tell us,when did burdock and plantain sprout first?”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The history of medicine is the history of the unusual.”
—Robert M. Fresco, and Jack Arnold. Prof. Gerald Deemer (Leo G. Carroll)
“We said that the history of mankind depicts man; in the same way one can maintain that the history of science is science itself.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
