On 20 January 2011, Tony Simmons joined the Hungarian football team Békéscsaba Raptors as Head Coach. Tony will also assume the duties of OC, DC, Special Teams Coordinator and Strength/Speed Coach and player. With the help of Ryan Long, an American soccer player turned football coach, who helped the Raptors get to Division I of the Hungarian Football League. Led the first team in Hungarian History from a new Div. 1 team to the Championship. Started as a Div.2 all running team to a Div. 1 Spread Offense Championship team. Team finished the regular season 4-2. Playoff 2-0. Final game to be played without a coach. Led special team in the league with 7 KOR TDs and 5 PR TDs. Offense Avg. 25.3 pts/game. Defense pts allowed 18.3 pts/game. Won the first round playoff game 16-6. Won the Semi final game 16-14.
